Football, Fun & Feel-Good Moments: Kennards Hire Kids Bay Returns for a Second Year

The spirit of community was alive and kicking at Allianz Stadium in March 29, as the Kennards Hire Kids Bay returned for its second year – and not even the rain could dampen the mood.

Held during the Sydney FC vs. Melbourne City match, the event brought together young people and families from the Kennards Hire Foundation’s charity partners – including The Smith Family, Stepping Stone House, BackTrack, and Kids Express – along with the Sydney FC Foundation, for an unforgettable afternoon of football, connection, and cheer.

The Bay welcomed 60 VIP guests who were treated to premium seating, an exclusive player meet-and-greet, and a goody bag packed with fan favourites: a clear backpack, full-size football, Sydney FC cap, bounce ball, drink bottle and a Merivale dining voucher.

From beaming smiles to autograph-chasing excitement, the day delivered moments that mattered. Tonya Greer from Stepping Stone House shared:

“A huge thank you for the opportunity for some of the young people at Stepping Stone House to attend the Sydney FC game last Saturday! Thankfully, the weather wasn’t too bad after all…the feedback was that they had a great time and really appreciated the special experience being in the Kennards Hire Bay.

The young people had a great time! We've now got an inspired YP looking to return to soccer. The rain stayed off and they even got some signatures on their goodie bags.
