Getting those jobs done around the home always seems like much more of a task than they really are. With so many tools to help you get the job done, virtually any DIY project is achievable.

That also applies to removing old paint in order to redecorate.

There are two types of heat guns that will do the job for you that you can hire from Kennards to do the hard work for you.

    Electric

Electric heat guns use 240v of fan forced hot air to make light work of melting paint or lacquer for easy removal with a scraper. Each gun has temperature adjustment controls available.

These guns create temperatures of 100 to 600 degrees celsius, so proper safety precautions must be taken. The infra-red kit includes a paint scraper to finish the job.

    Gas

The slightly heavier gas heat gun runs off an LPG flame, which offers temperature adjustment controls and easily melts paints and lacquer from doors, weather -boards, furniture and window frames. Again, a paint scraper will be required to finish the job.

If you're concerned about using these tools, or have any questions about DIY painting, don't hesitate to ask the professionals at Kennards hire.
